![]() I love succulents, so these Terrariums have been a major obsession of mine lately. These agate knobs are also amazing, but a bit out of my budget at $40 a pop. I discovered this line of Parquetry furniture in the store last week and it is amazing. If one store could epitomize my style it would have to be West Elm, with its modern clean lines, whimsical touches and slightly rustic undertones. ![]() ![]() I also tend to like whimsical trinkets and doodads that don’t fall neatly into any of these categories. I would certainly describe my style as eclectic, but if I had to break that down and pin point 3 main styles that I am drawn to it would be mid-century modern, industrial and rustic-modern. They almost fade into the background and allow more important features to stand out.Īfter the new flooring is installed the next kitchen project is butcher block counter tops and stainless appliances. The graphite color helps to tone down and simplify the traditional cabinets. We wanted this house to have a nod to the clean, understated lines of the mid-century modern style. Again, I used the Ikea Grundtal drying rack above the washer and dryer. The old fashion washer and dryer certainly aren’t pretty and until they completely break, I won’t be getting fancy front loaders to show off. We plan on having custom doors made, but until then I decided to paint the same stripes that are in the foyer to give it some visual interest. The original closet doors had been removed during the last renovation and unfortunately the opening isn’t a standard size that can be purchased at a home improvement store. The Minut Pendant light from Ikea was chosen for its modern-throwback style and its affordable price. I love the Ikea Grundtal wall systems for the kitchen. ![]() It’s a fast and predictable process, which is always good in kitchen renovations. It is my favorite paint for kitchens and baths and this is my 5th kitchen makeover using this product. #Chimex chihuahuas how to#I used to be a retailer of this product and taught workshops on how to use it. Next, I painted them with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. It took about 20 minutes and they were completely gone!!! I would sit on the sofa and stare at it, wondering what would happen if I ripped them down and finally one day out of the blue, I did just that. If you were in the family room you had to look at the cheap piece of wood the covered the back of them. If you were in the kitchen you had to duck to see under them. I loathed the cabinets that hung above the bar and range.
